We returned to Disney Wilderness Preserve today, taking Joanne & Earle too (previous visit here); it was much cooler this time (high was only about 55 today!), and much wetter – but we still didn’t see much wildlife …

Joanne & Earle told us that they’d seen an Alligator at Celebration, so this afternoon we took a trip over and a walk around the lakes and footpaths there, to see if it was still around – and it was! Look at the far side of the water, just in front of where the scrubland is; there’s a dark line shadow in the grass:

We decided to walk closer, to get better pictures – but not so close as to scare it …

That’s as close as we wanted to get, but computer editing gives a closer-still picture!

Sometimes Sunny, but windy so cool in the shade; Margaret & I, Joanne & Earle headed to Epcot and enjoyed a walk around World Showcase as well as rides at Mexico, Norway, Test Track, NEMO and Spaceship Earth (as well as walking to the Boardwalk hotel for lunch, and back through the Beach & Yacht Club hotels). Margaret & I flew back down to Florida today, for a few days away from the snow; we flew down with neighbor Pat, who then headed off to her daughter in Sarasota, while we stayed at 8002 with Joanne & Earle, who have been trying out winter in Florida and staying at 8002 for the last few weeks (and for a couple more weeks still). As thanks, they prepared a lovely dinner for us this evening

Some days you just have to shop … and today was one of those days, for Chris, Kate, and Margaret!

I, on the other hand, preferred to eat my purchase – Pie & Chips (eventually) from Cookes – very good food, but awful service!

We spent the day at Magic Kingdom, starting with lunchtime at the Crystal Palace so that Margaret could share her birthday with Winnie-The-Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet, as well as Kate, Chris, and me …

Other highlights included Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear … and in the evening, SpectroMagic and the Fireworks …

We spent most of today at our second home, 8002, in Florida – enjoying the Sun and Pool, or watching “Cars” on our new TV. With weather around 95 all day, the Pool was often the best place to be … here’s Chris, Kate, and Margaret keeping cool:

This afternoon we took the opportunity of the end of the rain storm, and warm weather, to walk around Dogtown and the Babson Boulder Trail with Kate & Chris; the trail ends at Babson Reservoir which is very pretty but half empty – and our walk was only half done as we had to return home! But Babson Reservoir gave good pictures:
