The weather continues to be spectacular in Florida, and we enjoyed another walk around the lakes at Celebration; pictures in the Gallery, or here:

At 8002, all walls throughout the home have always been white! But now we’re here for a few months, Margaret wanted to change that. I’ve always had a plan to paint the fourth bedroom / computer room / now office at 8002 with colors inspired by the bedspread that was there when we moved in …

Before I left for England, we found some colors that both Margaret and I liked, and Margaret did all the painting while I was away – excellent results too! Some green, some yellow, and some orange …

One nice side-effect of the recent rains was the great sunset following, with clouds instead of clear blue skies!

Down here at 8002, there are few birds and even less other animals – we’ve seen geckos/lizards before but they’re all missing now, and we’ve never seen mice, voles, etc. So there’s very little for Chloe to chase and catch, but she finally found something last night:

She rushed in with the worm in her mouth and dropped it on the rug, but then didn’t know what to do with it after that! After a few minutes I rescued it and took it back outside (we’d planted a few bushes yesterday which is no doubt how Chloe found the worm)

Not fully adjusted back from England time last week, I’m getting up early enough to catch the sunrise!

Today we visited Wakehurst Place; the main reason was to find the location of a painting that my Uncle Keith had created some time in the past:

I think we found a closely similar photograph, though clearly the trees have changed and filled in so that it’s no longer possible to see the stable building on the right:

A bit cold and breezy by the time we got to Beachy Head, but unlike our last visit there was no fog so good views!

On the way from Brighton to Beachy Head, this is a lovely place to see the “white cliffs” of the English South Coast …
