The weather people are having a hard time predicting the weather at the moment, but they are convinced we will have snow tonight - maybe two feet or more! The previous biggest snow Margaret & I have ever seen was about two feet on April 1, 1997.
It has been snowing all day today - but this is nothing to do with the winter storm on its way from mid-west USA; todays snow is “ocean effect” where cold winds blowing over the ocean pick up moisture from the ocean and dump it on the coast. So far I think we have about four inches:
This ocean effect snow is very light and fluffy - like soap flakes! Easy to clear; we will see what is out there in the morning … meanwhile, we watch the snow fall outside the window:
