STRYK2

One time MINIsOnTop Codmeister Steve, who “defected” last year from MINI to Subaru, now says “goodbye” to the giant wing and returns fully to the MINI community 🙂

Like Steves first MINI, STRYKER, Steve has had the wheel arches and side skirts painted body color and it looks pretty sharp! When Steve arrived, he was totally thrilled with the new car – as any MINI owner should be of course 🙂

Steve, I hope you love it – look forward to meeting up again soon!

The third MINIsOnTop MINI Cooper lease raffle

Many thanks to Herb Chambers MINI of Boston we are once again happy to offer raffle tickets to win a two year lease of a fabulous 2007 MINI Cooper:

Raffle tickets are available at $25 each (maximum of 250 tickets will be sold) and one lucky winner will win this two year lease of a car worth more than $21,000! The draw will take place during MINIsOnTop on June 16, 2007 (you do not need to be present to win).
The cars spec includes:
Mellow Yellow with black roof and bonnet stripes, matching the MOT2007 logo colors.
Moonroof, heated seats, front & rear foglights and a beautiful interior of chrome, Mellow Yellow and Piano Black.
Follow this link to MINIUSA to see the complete specs.

As in previous years (2005, 2006), the donation from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston is of a two year (24 month), 10,000 miles/year lease, and does not include insurance, tax, title, or license fees. The winner must execute and terminate the lease at the Herb Chambers MINI of Boston location.

All proceeds raised by this raffle will go to the MOT2007 charity Rosie’s Place.
Tickets will be available from Rosie’s Place and from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston – you can also contact me to buy tickets by mail, or you can send payment via PayPal to HCraffle@MINIsOnTop.com – but the payment cannot be funded from a credit card (which would incur significant PayPal fees).

HELP:
You can also help promote this raffle by downloading / printing this flyer, and distributing it – thanks!

My first R56 …

… seen on the road, today, heading up route 128 towards Gloucester.
A Sparkling Silver MCS (of course) with black roof and, I think, the red interior – we were in Margarets Audi so they had no idea I was interested, but we caught it up and passed it to have a better look … after a while the owner apparently decided to test its performance and flashed past us (and everyone else) doing probably 95 😉
From the rear, the R56 is very MINI like – the two large rear fog lights give the game away, and that nicely designed “bar” reversing light in the taillight cluster … from the front of course those yellow blobs in the headlights are too distracting, and from the side the side marker / vent is the most noticeable thing, looking SO much bigger than it should do …
But all that said, still quite an attractive vehicle on the road 🙂
