For Ians birthday, we headed north into Maine and stayed at the Captain Lord mansion in Kennebunkport:
We chose the Oriental Room - and we chose well!
The hotel was fabulous - the staff were wonderfully attentive, the room beautifully decorated and very peaceful and cosy (complete with jacuzzi tub and fireplace), the breakfasts incredible … Kennebunkport is a nice little town too, with restaurants walking distance from the hotel, and beaches close by too:
