A second bonus of my too early morning walk today, is that I again saw the Armadillo foraging for it’s breakfast – and this time it came very close to me (I stood quite still and apparently became invisible!), and I had my zoom lens camera so was able to take some great video:

My sad Armadillo story… When I was in Fort Polk Louisiana (1967) these things were all over the place. These morons in my company would go over and swing them by their tails then trow them and shoot them. I was horrified. They said what are you a p*ssy! I fixed them as I told my company sergeant and they got KP for a month. They treated to “Take care of me.” Never saw them again.
